Course Description

Psychology is a one-semester course designed to introduce the student to the various fields and applications of psychology. Human development, behavior and personality are the major areas of concentration. Emphasis will be placed on an awareness of self-concept, interpersonal relationships and psychological theories.

 Expectations

1) You are expected to be prepared for class when the bell rings.

2) You are expected to stay in your seat.  No student will be allowed to

            leave the room for any reason.

3) No food, drinks, or candy.

4) You are expected to treat your classmates and teacher with respect at all times.

5) The teacher will release you NOT the bell.

6) You are expected to be in class regularly.  It is hard to learn if you

            miss the information.

 Grading Policy           

            Major Grades 50% (Test, Projects)

            Minor Grades 25% (Daily, Homework, Folder)

            Six Weeks Exam 25%

 *** NO LATE WORK WILL BE EXCEPTED

 Test corrections may be done for any grade lower than a 70 within 3 days of the test being returned.  All corrections will be done during tutorials.

 Absences

After an excused absence, it is your responsibility to find out what has been missed & obtain it before the next school day.  Failure to make up work missed will result in a zero.  Tests are to be made up within a week of the absence or the grade will be a zero.  Being absent the day before a scheduled test does not excuse you from taking the test day it is scheduled.
